EVERYONE wants the boots so Leesa the fabulous designer from Black N Bling has kindly agreed to let me sell them via this (Dress Me GC) website. The size range is 37, 38, 39, 40, & 41 and there are two colours: silver bling & gold bling. FYI my boots are a size 40 and I wore them all over Las Vegas (with socks) without incident (unlike me I … [Read more...]
Loving Summer & Bikinis
Regular Dress Me GC Followers will know that I love summer. I love the beach, the long days, the heat, Mrs Giesen, the champagne, the fact that people seem happier in summer and I love bikinis. One day I'd love to look good in bikinis, but I'm lucky to have had 4 kids and that a great excuse for having a big bottom! It's kind of like my trophy from having 4 kids! It's … [Read more...]
Lace Espadrilles?
When the Seed Heritage email arrived in my inbox with Lace Espadrilles my first thought was Molly Ringwold and Pretty in Pink. Dress Me GC is the biggest Espadrille fan, but I'm not sure if they are for me? What do you think? I suppose they will be cooler in summer? I like the colours, except I'm not sure about the blue? I did … [Read more...]
Ugly Shoes
Following on from my last post where I admitted my shoe problem, this week I am faced with another kind of shoe problem. Ugly Shoes. Whoever started this trend has some serious explaining to do! Oh I know they are good for your feet...and comfortable...and they make your look "effortless" but I am still not buying it. Even on a Supermodel they aren't selling … [Read more...]
Weekend Wipeout
It's been another weekend of fun, frivolity, and surfing. I'm pleased it's Monday! What a week end. I'm also hiding from my PT. He put my Gym Buddy & I on an eating plan, that stipulated alcohol can only be drunk on one day per week! Why is that everytime one of these "challenges" is given to me every girlfriend arrives on my doorstep with a bottle of wine in hand? … [Read more...]
Ear Candy
One of the advantages of wearing nothing but a bikini for the last six weeks is that I am excited to be wearing my clothes again! There isn't a purchase on my radar. I know you don't believe me, but it's true! It's great to not want to buy anything and to be excited about wearing what's in my cupboard. I do however think I need a new piece of jewellery or a new clutch … [Read more...]
Shopping Frenzy
Christmas Shopping is crazy! It's the one time of the year where I hide my purchases from the gift recipients and not The Love Of My Life! What are you buying? Are you sneaking in a little bit of retail therapy for yourselves on your travels? If you are these are my pics: The Seed Plait Detail Jumpsuit is a wardrobe must. It's so easy to wear with flat sandals to run … [Read more...]

Happy Fathers Day
After a morning on the beach The Love of My Life is at work, and I'm at home still in swimmers, singlet, hat, & sarong with my four treasures sipping Sauvignon Blanc. It's South Island Sav Blanc today as that was what was on special at BWS in Tedder Ave. Class and Style every time for Dress Me GC! The days have flown by. I've been to MBFF at Brisbane City Hall (more on … [Read more...]

Winner
Woohoo! Thanks to Domani Shoes at Marina Mirage I won a handbag! How exciting. All I had to do was 'like' the bag on facebook and share it and that was it! I won! Thank you Domani Shoes. If you haven't been to Domani shoes I suggest you have a look. They have the best range of ballet flats I've ever seen. Not to mention, boots, bags and scarves. It's right next to … [Read more...]
Bargain Boots
Harbourtown can be hit and miss for bargain shopping. My theory is that you need to shop there regularly to know what is new in stock, what is a bargain and what isn't. Seed has the cheapest shoes for women. Dress Me GC is not really a high heel wearer. I'll only wear them when I'm going out, so therefore I don't want to spend a lot of money. Both pairs of the high heeled … [Read more...]
Change of Season
With the change of season its probably a good idea to put some Summer clothes into storage so you have more room in your wardrobe for the bulkier winter clothes. Unless of course you have heaps of cupboard space. At our last house we had heaps of hanging space and storage in the walk in wardrobe. It even had a dressing table with a mirror and chair for applying make up … [Read more...]
The dog ate my homework
How is that for an excuse? Pretty good hey? That is the reason why this is the first blog for the week. Dress Me GC has thought of all sorts of excuses to explain my absence, but the reality is I don't have one. It's just been a week of....a week of whatever! I'm not unhappy, I'm not sad, I haven't been abusing Mr Giesen or Mrs Giesen, I did run 10ks at 5am on Wednesday … [Read more...]
Next
Regular reader Kelly reminded me about Next. Next is slowly gaining Dress Me GC's attention more and more. I like Next for a few reasons: you wont see yourself everywhere and the most important; the price. Regular readers may remember the 'donkey dress' from Next I blogged in January: https://www.dressmegc.com/2013/01/cant-stop-shopping.html I'm happy to report the dress … [Read more...]
A Scarf, More Boots & Anzac Day Drinks
After blogging about boots, I spotted more at Designer Forum, Robina. They are very very nice. The price is approx: $295 and the brand is D.CO Copenhagen. You would wear these over and over in winter with skinny leg jeggings, jeans etc..... Dress Me GC readers are welcome to help with advice and fashion tips. There have been numerous requests from readers wanting to now … [Read more...]
Boots & Birthdays
Over the next few blogs, I'll show you some boots. I think the key to boots is buying a couple of really good pairs, and then collecting a few cheaper pairs along the way. Good boots are an investment. Dress Me GC bought a black pair of knee high Doc Martens (conservative style) about 6-7 years ago and there wasn't alot of change from $400. That was also of money then … [Read more...]
Unexpected Find
Today started at 4:30am with a 10k run. It was as good as a run can be. It was fantastic when it was over! Running hasn't been on the agenda for the past week and a bit so it was nice to get moving again. I raced home and got three of the four kids organised for school, and took the left over one to a Rugby League Carnival (he plays Rugby Union for a club and Rugby League at … [Read more...]
I Want. I Want.
I want to win the Lotto, because Dress Me GC has found a handbag and fallen in love. I spotted it on Far Fetch: http://www.farfetch.com/shopping/women/salar-juni-lattice-tote-item-10364891.aspx It looks very nice and like all the nice things I like, it has a nice big price tag to match. Including shipping the cost is $563.19 USD. The bag is shipped from a boutique in … [Read more...]
