I’m back from Cairns and happy to report that we had the best time! The 2018 Cairns Amateurs was well worth the effort to attend. Massive Thank you Cairns Locals Pip (Miller PR) & Fraser for hosting us – It was so much fun and a lot of laughs!
Last week was a little bit frustrating trying to get outfits together, work, feeding children and doing 99 other things. With the New York Marathon trip looming and a budget of close to zero, I decided to call into Designer Exchange on Chevron Island and see if there was anything that would suit. Who’d have thought a Pop Up shop on Chevron Island selling (second hand) designer clothes (ALL with tags) would be the go?
I bought an Alannah Hill white sequin Dress with tags on priced at $599. After the 70% reduction was applied I paid $179.70! I wore my fave Valentino shoes and borrowed a fascinator and clutch from my incredibly patient and kind BFF Ness.
A Black feathered Lisa Brown Poppy was perfect for the Ball. I probably should be a bit more upright in the photo, but we’d been to the races before the Ball so I suppose I should be grateful I was upright at all!
A Stevie May Black Dress with zebra stripe heels and matching fascinator was perfect for the second day of racing. I say perfect because it was 30 degrees and was comfortable and easy to wear in the heat. Dress, shoes & fascinator were all ‘oldies’ from my wardrobe. I know I tell The Love of My Life that story ALL the time, but this time it is actually for real! “Had it for years” & “this old thing” is actually the truth!
Thanks for having me Cairns – I’ll definitely be back!
The next ‘outing’ is a 3 day trip to nowhere on the P&O. Next weekend My Sydney BFF & I set sail for 3 nights of cruising out of Sydney. We call it the boat to nowhere because the Ship literally goes out to see, turns around and comes back. I can’t wait! I hope they stock enough Rose!
STOP THE PRESS! On Monday I had THE NEW Skin Booster Treatment at Laser Clinics Australia, Runaway Bay. Here’s a sneak preview pic…More info and results pics v soon… It’s unbelievable!
New Season Lisa Brown is beautiful. As usual, the prints and colours never disappoint! Pop into Toscana if you are on the GC or Ivy in Toowoomba and see for yourself.
