Last week end @flygirlrach & I went to my cousins Mathew’s Birthday Party. We had a lovely time sipping bubbles and meeting all Mathew’s friends.
Mathew decided cocktails were to be served and asked us to taste the Espresso Martinis he’d made. He said it was his first attempt at making them and decided we should be the taste testers. They were good. Really good. Probably better than you get in most bars.
After a while we decided we’d worn out our welcome and left. The next morning we did the obligatory texting after a night out and both agreed what a nice time we had. All good. Until about 2 hours later when @flygirlrach started sending me photos from her phone. Then I remembered! Oh dear! Cringe! We had baby’s breath flowers from the Antipasto Platter in our hair!
We made a pact to hide the photos and let them never see the light of day. That was the plan – then over the week end the Sunday Papers showed Erica Packer wearing a flower crown of baby’s breath at her 40th Birthday and we were all of a sudden “we wore it first”!
So there you go: Note to self, don’t drink Espresso Martinis and if you are at your younger cousins birthday party remember you can’t drink like you are 30 anymore!
In other news Lisa Brown’s latest Collection is hitting Boutiques as I type. As usual, I love it! All of it.
